Don't Become Michigan Fans

If you ask Michigan fans today who their chief rival is, they will tell you it is without question Ohio State. Ask them 8 years ago? Michigan State. Fans are a funny breed. When Michigan dominated the rivalry in the 90's, they took the rivalry for granted. Now that the tide has turned, Ohio State fans aren't viewing the rivalry quite the same as they did 10 years ago. They look at the schedule every year and the Michigan game isn't "the big one". Thank goodness Ohio State has a coach who understands the magnitude of the rivalry. Thank goodness fans aren't the ones competing on the field. As long as Jim Tressel is the head coach of Ohio State, victories over Michigan will continue to matter.
