Softball season Starts tomorrow!
I know everyone in the world is focused on March Maddness:however there are some of us who will be enjoying the Lady Bucks of softball hopefully beat Michigan State (MSU) tomorrow in the softball opener that will be taking place at 2pm This Sat March 19 at the new field. OSU Men's Basketbll is Looking towards the NCAA Tournaments
Despite a valient effort on the part of our beloved Men's Buckeyes they were defeated this weekend by a determined and lucky Purdue: The Ohio State men’s basketball team received the No. 8 seed in the Midwest Region of the 2009 NCAA Turnament and will begin play against ninth-seeded Siena Friday, March 20, at UD Arena in Dayton, Ohio. Ohio State is making its 21st trip to the NCAA Tournament and third in the last four years. The Buckeyes are 37-19 all-time in the big dance, including a trip to the 2007 Final Four in their most recent outing. They are 1-2 in two previous appearances as a No. 8 seed and 3-2 when playing in the Midwest Region.

Lady Bucks Big Ten Champs Headed for the Big Show!
Setting the StageNo. 12 Ohio State heads to the Big Ten tournament as the No. 1 seed for a record fifth-consecutive season. Ohio State will face the winner of No. 8 Penn State and No. 9 Illinois, who play in the third game of Thursday’s opening session. Ohio State’s quarterfinal matchup against the winner will be at 6 p.m. ET Friday in Conseco Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The Big Ten Network will carry the first nine games of the tournament live. ESPN2 will carry the championship game at 5:30 p.m. ET Sunday. All OSU games can be heard on WOSU 820AM (http://www.wosu.org/) in Columbus. Go Lady Bucks!
March Madness begins @2:30pm Friday the 13th

Men's Ice Hockey Senior Corey Elkins will be blogging from the team’s trip to Fairbanks, Alaska, for the quarterfinal round of the CCHA tournament. The No. 5 seed Buckeyes and No. 4 seed Nanooks will meet in a best-of-three series at 7:05 p.m. AT/11:05 p.m. ET Friday and Saturday and at 6:05 p.m. AT/10:05 p.m. ET Sunday if necessary. The Men's Swim Team Finishes 9th overall!
The Buckeyes finished the season with a 10-2 mark in dual meets and were 2-2 in Big Ten competition. Ohio State finished second at the conference meet, which was the best finish for the Buckeyes in 31 years. Sophomore diver Sean Moore broke the two McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion records this season. Defending champs in fencing are going for it again!
The Ohio State fencing team will send 12 fencers, the maximum you can send:they are going to the 2009 NCAA Championships March 22-25 at Penn State University: State College, Pa campus. Laurinaitis is going PRO!!
Today James Laurinaitis decided to enter the NFL draft. Sorry to see him leave the Buckeyes, but hopefully he'll stay in Ohio! Good Luck James!!
